He served previously as CMO for Basho, GXS (acquired by OpenText), and Digex (acquired by Verizon). Patrick began his career at the FBI as a computer specialist at the age of 16.
Shyamal has over 15 years of experience in process optimization and automation, bridging the gap between operational processes and IT, and has championed process improvement and development projects in a number of industries with examples including aerospace, legal, commercial real-estate, manufacturing, and insurance. He has led award-winning process-improvement projects in the aerospace industry and has consulted on numerous digital-transformation projects in various other industries. He is a strong advocate for digital transformation with a focus on process management and governance, and when approaching process optimization projects, Shyamal believes in preparing and aligning people and processes, before implementing technology – rather than forcing people and processes to react to new technology. To this end, he enjoys spending time with his clients and getting a deeper understanding of how an organization functions in order to create a sustainable environment for digital transformation. After working both on the industry-side as well as software supplier-side, he now provides advisory services to help companies with their process automation projects.
Aruj is the Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at Westminster City Council. As part of this role, she manages the IT, Customer Experience and Digital Teams along with the emerging Smart Cities Programme within her portfolio (which is incredibly exciting for the Council and one that is moving at a fast pace). Aruj’s priorities include using technology and data to empower communities and fuel innovation, creating strategic partnerships and focussing on digital talent & inclusion.
Previously Aruj held various HR generalist roles in the Private Sector as well as a variety of roles in the Council in HR/Organisational Development and Change Management.
Sihlalo is the Deloitte Africa Deputy Chief Executive and has been a member of the Deloitte Africa Executive Committee since 2012. He is a financial services partner and until May 2016 was the leader of the financial services practice, which is a team of over 350 professionals focusing on audit, advisory and actuarial services on the continent. Jim de Vries is a skilled thought leader with more than 30 years of experience helping clients achieve their desired outcomes through his ability to facilitate teams and drive improvement.
